In March 2007 we participated in the Hispanic
Education Endowment Fund by volunteering our services
of interviewing students for scholarships. Myself and other members joined MANA O.C.

On April 27th, we had our Dia De Los Ninos workshop on infant adoption in our Hispanic Community. This event was held at the Sisters of St. Joseph’s library and sponsored by the Latino Family Institute.

On May 19th-20th, we coordinated a health booth at St. Callistus Church Festival in Garden Grove. Services provided included, glucose screening, blood pressure checks and health information. This event was sponsored by Garden Grove Medical Center a Tenet Hospital.

On July 17th-20th, we attended the 32nd Annual NAHN National Conference at the Pacific Palms Resort, Industry Hills, CA.

On Saturday, October 27th, we had our Annual Dia De Los Muertos Conference. The subject was Hospice in the Hispanic Context. Our keynote speaker was Dr. Gilbert Mares from Cuidado Casero, Arlington, Texas. We also had Marion Townsend, RN, BSN, Administrator and Director of Nursing, Interim Home Health, Riverside, CA. Gloria Juarez, RN, PhD gave us information on perspectives of hospice and the Hispanic Family.
